SEE: The best fashion advertising campaign of A/W 2012

28th Aug 2012

Married as I am to an advertising genius (see Mr Muddy’s agency www.antidote.co.uk for proof) I take more than a passing interest in fashion campaigns.

And here,  bristling with creativity and humour amongst the usual yawny designer ads of vacant girls and glossy hair and airbrushed features, is the clever Mulberry campaign for A/W 2012.  Don’t you love it?

Using Where The Wild Things Are as its loose inspiration, this series of photos, shot by British photographer Tim Walker on Blackheath Common in Surrey no less, features drop-dead-gorgeous American model Lindsey Wixson.

Despite the fact that she looks like she’s on her first trainer bra which normally irritates me in campaigns for GROWN WOMEN!!!, I find I can’t get too cross about it as she is actually, in modeling terms, an ancient 18 years old. She’s like a teenage Lara Stone meets early Vanessa Paradis - big lips, sexy hair and the now obligatory whopper gap in the teeth.

Bravo Mulberry – top of the class in Media Studies. But how do Muddy Stilettos readers rate your new collection? Verdicts in the comment section mes amis!
