This little piggy went to market

My mum has rather fallen in love with Orchard View Farm. Ever since we visited to see the award-winning piggies, my mum has been ordering left right and centre, and now places an order every week. Pork is the speciality (and the reason the farm picked up a prestigious Great Taste 3 star gold award) but it’s also branching out into Venison and turkey – one unlucky bird made us all very happy on Christmas Day.
Anyway, Helen was dropping off about a million sausages to me on Friday and mentioned the great news that the Vale Harvest collective has secured a monthly Saturday farmers market starting in Haddenham from 2 February. The traders, as I understand it, are to be from within a 10 mile radius, and there will be an emphasis on quality. I’ve come to know quite a few of the producers one way or the other, and they really believe in what they do and offer great quality.
I’ll remind you nearer the time if you feel like supporting it. Good timing for a February start though – we’ll have blown our diets by then!

Hi Louisa, you’re very welcome. I know Oving a little, looked at a house there once and have eaten in the Black Boy several times. Very pretty with excellent grass I’m sure! Dexter beef sounds great, I’ll come and say hi on the day. Hero x
